Sistas is an epic tale of Black women in America told through the songs of artists such as Ma Rainey, Billie Holiday, Lena Horn, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and Beyoncé. Offering stories that focus on the struggles, triumphs and passions of such women, this moving narrative starts with the days of Jim Crow and takes us to the present.
