Giant was a big book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edna Ferber and now it’s a big musical. Giant reveals the underside of the big State of Texas, revealing its bigotry, greed and power broking. This is a musical filled with huge characters, explosive situations and major insights.
Giant is the story of a formidable cattleman, his new bride transplanted from the East Coast and those who surround them. Friends, family, workers and enemies mix, mingle and conspire in this story of power, loss and triumph. It’s a chronicle of the state as seen through the lives of these characters who encounter joy, sorrow, love, hate and much more in this new musical with a book by Sybille Pearson, music and lyrics by Michael John LaChiusa and direction by Michael Greif. The production of Giant includes 22 actors and a 17-piece orchestra. This is not to be missed!
