  • SYNOPSIS

Broadway veteran Laura Osnes plays Cinderella and Santino Fontana will be the Prince in the 2013 Broadway premiere of the musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein. With a revised book by Douglas Carter Beane, this Cinderella is decidedly modern as the title character has more sass and smarts than before. It’s Cinderella who may just be the lynchpin in ensuring that she and the prince live happily every after.

  • Julie Andrews enchanted America in 1957 as she played Cinderella in the world premiere of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. But that was not on the stage. Rodgers and Hammerstein created Cinderella for television and since that time there have been two additional major productions created for TV. In 1963 the lovely Lesley Ann Warren played the princes and in 1997 Brandy was an extremely popular Cinderella. Although it has been seen in New York before, this is the first Broadway production of this musical. It’s a show the entire family will enjoy.
