A Time Kill
The John Grisham novel comes to the Broadway stage. This is a fantastic drama for schools and other groups. Prejudice, justice and equality are important issues in this drama, which is written by Tony winner Rupert Holmes.
The story focuses on a black man, Carl Lee Hailey, who has taken the law into his own hands and killed the white men who raped and beat her. Now defense lawyer Jake Brigance must see that Carl gets a fair trial. Jake has to win Hailey’s trust, battle a seasoned DA, and deflect attacks from those on both sides of the issue. Set in the Deep South, A Time to Kill is an intense, mesmerizing drama. The show previews September 28 and opens October 20, 2013.
This musical is about fathers and sons, family and the deep need for family members to connect. The new musical, which is written by veteran composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa and book writer John August, will be directed by multi Tony winner Susan Stroman.
In Big Fish, Edward Bloom, the dad, offers unique insights into his life as he recounts his various exploits that are, at the very least mythological. His tall tales, which are told in an engaging manner, are a source of frustration for Edward’s son, Will. Will simply and plainly desires to know exactly who his father really is. The musical Big Fish is about family, fantasy and fathers and sons.
The musical Big Fish previews September 5 and opens October 6, 2013. The amazing cast includes Norbert Leo Butz as Edward Bloom, Bobby Steggert as Will Bloom and Kate Baldwin as Sandra Bloom.
Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet
It’s Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet starring Tony nominee Condola Rashad as Juliet and Hollywood heartthrob Orlando Bloom as Romeo. The tale told of star-crossed lovers is primary reading material for high school students and one of the most popular of Shakespeare’s plays. Get school comps only from All Tickets Inc. now!
