What Greek playwright introduced the third speaking actor into a scene, making it possible for playwrights to create a lot more conflict because as we know two’s company and three IS a crowd.

The playwright was Sophocles, the writer of Oedipus the King, Oedipus at Colonus and Antigone. Once he did it all Greek playwrights were using the third actor, even the highly traditional Aeschylus.
