  • SYNOPSIS

In You Can’t Take It With You there could not be two families more different than the freely creative and ecstatically happy Sycamores and the stuffed shirt and uptight Kirbys. These two very different families are about to be joined together when Alice Sycamore and Tony Kirby marry. Can Alice Sycamore and Tony Kirby’s engagement, marriage, and love survive?

  • You Can’t Take It With You offers us a portrait of a family that many might consider to be mad, although they are happy, and another family that is totally sane while being absolutely miserable. Then again, we have to ask, are the Sycamores really crazy? Or are they simply eccentric and actually the sanest people alive?
