The poetic ambience of the play Skylight, which is set on a severely cold London night, serves to frame an evening that may or may not result in two lovers rediscovering their former passions. Schoolteacher Kyra Hollis receives an unexpected visit from her former lover, Tom Sergeant, a successful and charismatic restaurateur whose wife has recently died. As the night moves forward, the former lovers discover that they are bitter opposites as they become locked in a dangerous battle of differing and irreconcilable ideologies and mutual desires.
