Love Letters examines a 50-year relationship between two friends and lovers, rebellious Melissa Gardner and straight-arrow Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, and their hopes, regrets, passions, and dilemmas. Starting in second grade and through high school, college, and much of their adult lives, these two characters carry on an intimate relationship through the letters that they write to one another. After their letters have all been written there is one unanswered question regarding these friends, did they each make the right choice as far as love and marriage was concerned or did they dismiss that truly one person who they were meant to be with by sending them missives and, overall, sharing their experiences in written form rather than experiencing life together? Love Letters features a rotating cast of stars.SYNOPSIS
