A.R. Gurney’s wonderful comedy Sylvia, which was an Off-Broadway hit in 1995, makes its way to the Broadway stage for the first time. This is a funny, touching, and insightful comedy about a man who finds companionship in a stray dog named Sylvia, and the way in which she upsets his life with his wife, Kate.

  • SYNOPSIS

    Tony nominee Annaleigh Ashford comes back to Broadway as the star mutt in the comedy Sylvia. Ashford will star with Julie White and Robert Sella in the revival of this charming comedy by A.R. Gurney. In Sylvia, a middle-aged man, Greg, finds Sylvia in the park and brings her home. When his wife, Kate, arrives home, she’s not happy with Greg’s new friend. In Sylvia, the three characters go on a journey that is filled with tension, emotion, conflict, and, ultimately insights into life, friendship, marriage, and love.
