Jake Gyllenhaal, Oscar nominee for Brokeback Mountain, makes his Broadway debut in British playwright Nick Payne’s Constellations. Gyllenhaal plays Roland, who upon a chance meeting with Marianne sees their lives intersect again and again in a nonlinear play that is driven by the universe, physics, and, perhaps an imperfect plan or chance itself.
