Awesome 80s Prom

If you’re a fan of movies from the 1980s and enjoy improvisation and audience interaction, then welcome to The Awesome 80s Prom. In the play, various high school students compete for to win the titles of prom king and queen.  The play, which won the Improvisational Theater Association’s first ever Improv Theater Award for Best Interactive Show, includes an array of hit songs that define the 80s, including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go.”
Synopsis
Remember those great 80s teen movies with characters like the hunk Captain of the Football Team, the confused Asian Exchange Student, the nerdy Geek and the sensual Head Cheerleader? They and more are all in the hit audience participation, improvisational comedy The Awesome 80s Prom. Set at the fictional Wanaget High School, the evening is a little bit of American Idol, a little bit retro and whole lot of fun.
The Awesome 80s Prom, which has become very popular with bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations and other such group events, is one hysterical ride. The show has been playing on Fridays and Saturdays Off-Broadway for six years and looks to simply keep on going as audiences can’t seem to get enough of those teen types that defined the 1980s. Dress up in your finest retro prom attire and enjoy every nostalgic moment of the time when “awesome” defined just about every part of a teen’s existence.
