SYNOPSIS

In the classic comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hermia, Helena, Demetrius, and Lysander flee into the woods to escape the edicts of the court and pursue the love their young heart feel. At the same time, a group of community theatre players enter into that same wood to secretly rehearse their play. Add in some preternatural characters, such as Puck, Oberon, and Titania, and you have the perfect mix for confusion, alarm, and ongoing comedy. And although it seems as if the actions of some could lead to severe punishment, in the end all is forgiven and three couples end up getting married and enjoying an evening of tragedy, which is really quite comedic, presented by the local community players.
