Fiddler on the Roof is on Broadway again, celebrating its 50th anniversary. Veteran Broadway performer and perennial Tony nominee Danny Burstein will play Tevye. Fiddler on the Roof, which includes music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and book by Joseph Stein, is based on Tevye and his Daughters by Sholem Aleichem. The original 1964 production was nominated for 10 Tonys and won 9. It was the first Broadway musical to run for more than 3,000 performances.
