Synopsis
Who Jonathan Larson’s musical Rent captured the imaginations of theatregoers and critics when it premiered in 1996. It also brought a whole new genration of young people into the theatre for the first time. Well now those “young people” are in their 30s and Larson’s award winning musical is back. Treating issues of AIDS, sexuality and drug addiction with honesty and weaving a magical musical score through his story, Larson created a musical time capsule that has spanned a generation.
