Miss Saigon is a musical of epic proportions set in 1975 during the final days of the American occupation of Saigon. This love story focuses on the relationship between an American serviceman and a young Vietnamese woman named Kim. Kim, a 17-year-old who has been orphaned by the war, has been forced to work as a bar girl in a seedy Saigon nightclub. In what he thought would be a simple act, a GI named John buys the services of Kim from the unscrupulous owner of the nightclub who is known as The Engineer for his buddy Chris, another serviceman. That act changes their lives forever.
