This choreographer, who appeared on Broadway with Gene Kelly in the premiere of Pal Joey, became known as Kelly’s co-director on such projects as Singin’ in the Rain and An American in Paris. He also choreographed many other films, including Royal Wedding, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Funny Face, Indiscreet, Damn Yankees!, Charade, and Two for the Road.
