With a rock-pop score and a setting that puts the audience around and even in the midst of the action, Murder Ballad energetically tells the story of a woman named Sara who finds she has two loves. One is represented by the harrowing, dark bar life that’s led by her former lover, Tom, and the other is connected with the middle class values of a contemporary nuclear family that includes her husband, Michael, and their baby girl. Sara gives up her family for the life inside the pool hall and on a bar stool but when she realizes she has made a mistake, it may just be too late for Sara to get back to her husband and baby daughter. Murder Ballad is a tragic tale of passion, romance and murder.
