Jake Gyllenhaal, Oscar nominee for Brokeback Mountain, makes his Broadway debut in British playwright Nick Payne’s Constellations. Gyllenhaal plays Roland, who upon a chance meeting with Marianne sees their lives intersect again and again in a nonlinear play that is driven by the universe, physics, and, perhaps an imperfect plan or chance itself.

  • SYNOPSIS

    In Constellations, Roland and Marianne meet and encounter one another again and again in a quantum-driven relationship that includes different and various rituals of co-habitation, betrayal, and separation. The two continue to meet, interact, and define their relationship and human encounters in general. Constellations is a nontraditional play that offers audiences love as seen and felt through wit, passion, and science.
