  • SYNOPSIS

Bullets Over Broadway, The Musical, focuses on David Shayne, a young playwright in the 1920s who manages to get his new show bankrolled for the Broadway stage. However, there are just a few complications involving the production of his play God of Our Fathers. The money is coming from a guy who runs a very large “family” business that includes racketeering, blackmail and murder. The boss, Cheech, wants his girlfriend, Olive Neal, to have a prominent role in the play, even though she can’t and has half-a-brain. Plus, playwright Shayne is being harassed by an aging, defunct diva named Helen Sinclair. Of course being a lighthearted Woody Allen comedy, all works out for the best in the end.
